These came back from applications sent out of my own Gmail, one email per venue with my CV attached. That is the workflow get88 now runs for you.
Why I built it
I needed my 88 days, same as you.
Three days on Seek and in backpacker Facebook groups, about 10 applications a day, and not one answer.
So I stopped applying through job boards. I put the venues themselves in one table and had it email them from my own Gmail, one message per venue with my CV attached. A hotel manager tried to phone me before I had even replied to her, and I booked the trial before my flight. I took it, and the day after landing in Cairns I did that trial, with a couple more interviews already lined up.

Questions
Will this actually get me a job?
Nobody can promise you that, and anyone who does is selling something. What changes is how many employers see you at all. I did about 10 applications a day by hand and heard nothing back. The campaign booked a trial shift before my flight.
Why only 100 a day?
Gmail lets you send 500 a day out of that address by hand. get88 stops at 100, a fifth of that, and the margin is the point. A hundred applications a day reads like someone looking for work. A thousand an hour reads like spam, and gets treated like it.
Everyone has this list. Do the venues get hammered?
No. Once a venue is emailed through get88 it is locked for 48 hours, so two people can never land on the same place at once. Everyone also picks their own states, towns and venue types, so campaigns spread out across the whole roster instead of stacking on the same few.
Do I need a Gmail account?
Yes. get88 sends through your own Google account, so venues get the email from your address and their replies land in your inbox.
How did you build this list?
Google's Places API gives me every hotel, hostel, pub and cafe in a regional town: a name, a phone number, a website, nothing you can actually apply to. So every venue gets opened one at a time. Booking.com and Facebook pages get thrown out, I read the venue's own contact page for the address they publish there themselves, and I keep it only when the domain matches the venue. Manager and jobs addresses rank above info@. No data broker, no scraped list, no guessed firstname@.
How do you know the emails work?
Every address is checked before it reaches the list, and anything that bounces or complains drops off it.
Where are the venues?
Across regional Australia. The bigger towns have a page each — hospitality venues in Cairns, and the rest of the Queensland towns. Check whether a postcode counts on the official 417 and 462 Home Affairs pages before taking a job.
